Hello,
I’m interested in the Student Court Judge position that recently became available. I’m a 26-year old veteran of the Air Force where I served four years as an active duty paralegal in the JAG Corps. For a large majority of that time I assisted in the administration of non-judicial punishment in the Military Justice section. There, I managed the Article 15 program where I worked closely with First Sergeants to administer non-judicial punishment swiftly and in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). At the choosing of the member, Articles 15 may be turned-down in favor of a trial by Court-Martial. I also have organized and implemented both Summary and Special Courts-Martial, conducted the requisite legal research, prepared opening & closing arguments, voir dire questions, witness questions and participated in murder boards. I am now an undergraduate Philosophy major in the last semester of my Junior year. I’d very much enjoy being in the company of others who share an interest in law (or something like it) and so I hope you will consider this application favorably.
