Vice President Level Positions

  • John Holsapple – Vice President for Academic Affairs
    The Vice President for Academic Affairs develops and maintains a program for student evaluation of courses and professors. The VPAA investigates, reports and makes recommendations on academic matters while monitoring academic affairs projects at other universities. The VPAA also seeks maximum student representation on all academic advisory committees and councils, the Board of Trustees Committee on Academic Affairs, the Office of the University Vice President for Academic Affairs, and all University academic advisory committees or councils, and maintains regular communication with all student representatives on all academic advisory committees and councils.
  • Alison McDougal – Vice President for Community Affairs
    The Vice President for Community Affairs shall regularly attend the meetings of neighboring community organization including, but not limited to, the Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2A, West End Citizens Association, and the Foggy Bottom Association. The VPCA represents the interest and viewpoints of the Student Association and University administration on issues involving the neighboring community and should be informed of and make recommendations to the Student Association and University Administration on issues involving the neighboring community. The VPCA will advise and assist other students and other student organizations with community relations and community service projects, where appropriate. Also, this person must organize events and services, which facilitate and maintain positive relations between the University and neighboring community.
  • Ashish Kumbhat- Vice President for Financial Affairs
    The Vice President for Financial Affairs is responsible for the financial affairs of the Student Association and is in charge of monitoring the proper distribution and use of all Student Association funds distributed by the Student Association. The VPFA will also serve as the processing agent for all university held organizations funds, so in addition to student body monies they also manage revenue accounts held in trust by the University. Additionally, this person works with the Senate Finance Committee to ensure that student organizations are able to maximize the use of their allocated funds. The VPFA makes sure that detailed records of all Student Association receipts and disbursements are maintained and ensures that all financial records of the Student Association are available for review.
  • Skye Mathieson – Vice President for Graduate Student Policy
    The Vice President for Graduate Student Policy must be a graduate or professional school student. The VPGSP must be informed of and make recommendations in non-academic areas of concern to graduate and professional students and should explore means for the improvement or development of non-academic services to graduate and professional students provided by the University and the city, local suburban, regional and federal government agencies (i.e. graduate housing and dining options). Also, this position is responsible for communicating with all offices of the University in matters where graduate and professional students are concerned.
  • Jordan Chapman- Vice President for Judicial and Legislative Affairs
    The Vice President for Judicial and Legislative Affairs is responsible for investigating and prosecuting alleged violations of the Student Association Constitution and/or Bylaws. The VPJLA represents the Student Association in all matters before the University’s judicial system and acts as counsel for the Student Association. This person supervises all contractual agreements and communicates with the University administration in all matters related to University Judicial Affairs. Additionally, this Vice President is responsible for drafting all presidential veto messages and executive orders at the request of the President, and works with the Student Judicial Advisers.
  • Carly Schildhaus – Vice President for Public Affairs
    The Vice President for Public Affairs will administer and manage all publicity for the Student Association. The VPPA should make recommendations concerning the marketing of the Student Association and administer and manage all advertising and press relations for the Student Association, both external and internal. Additionally, this position advises, assists, and coordinates marketing of student organizations where appropriate. Overall, this position is key to increasing the visibility of the Student Association.
  • Geoffrey Blake – Vice President for Undergraduate Student Policy
    The Vice President for Undergraduate Student Policy must be an undergraduate student. This person must be informed of and make recommendations in non-academic areas of concern to undergraduate students (i.e. 4-RIDE, etc). The VPUSP is to explore means for the improvement or development of non-academic services to undergraduate students provided by the University and the city, local, regional, and federal government agencies (i.e. S.A. Suggestion boxes, Town Hall Meetings). Also, this person must communicate with all offices of the University in matters where
  • Jessica Dholakia – Acting VP For Student Activities
    The Vice President for Student Activities advises, assists, and coordinates activities of student organizations where appropriate. The VPSA should be informed of and make recommendations on the policies, programs, and operations of the Student Activities Center. Additionally, this person is heavily involved with undergraduate and graduate student organizations and improving school spirit.

Director Level Positions

  • Kim Neu- Director of Dining Services
    The Director of the Dining Services is in charge of scheduling and convening regular meetings of the Dining Services Commission and preparing all necessary materials, including agendas and meeting minutes, for these meetings and make all agendas and minutes available to the public; attending regular meetings of the Residence Hall Association and Marvin Center Governing Board; attending regular meetings with the Director of Auxiliary and Institutional Services, Dining Services Managers, and other such meetings as deemed appropriate; establishing an effective way of integrating student initiatives, suggestions and recommendations into an improved Dining Services operation; and reporting regularly to the student body on current Dining Services initiatives and corrective actions taken on previous student input. This Director is also in charge of allocating dining services co-sponsorships.
  • Sam Free- Director of Diversity Affairs
    The Director of Diversity Affairs is in charge of scheduling and convening regular meetings of the Diversity Affairs Commission and preparing all necessary materials, including agendas and meeting minutes, for these meetings and makes all agendas and minutes available to the public; attending regular meetings with the Director of Multi-Cultural Student Services Center, Student Life Committee, and other such meetings as deemed appropriate; and reporting regularly to the student body on current Diversity issues and initiatives and actions taken to better improve the diverse programming on the campus of The George Washington University.
  • Matt Lebow, Ashley Olt, & Tiffany Yim - Co-Directors of Greek Affairs
    The Co-Directors of Greek Affairs serve as the primary liaisons on behalf of the Student Association to the Greek community. These people create and implement all activities pertaining to aiding Greek life on campus; serve as a resource for Greek organizations with regard to programming, policy, and other issues; attend meetings of the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, and Multicultural Greek Council; meet regularly with the Greek Advisor, the Office of Student Judicial Services, the Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Education and the Community Living and Learning Center on matters pertaining to the Greek community; and report to the President of the Student Association and the Vice President for Undergraduate Student Policy in his work throughout the academic year.
  • Behnam Ben Taleblu- Director of Multi-Religious Affairs
    The Director of Multi Religious Affairs creates initiatives that support our multi religious community, works in conjunction with multicultural organizations, university offices and the Director of Diversity Affairs to promote a spirit of tolerance, acceptance and peace on campus.
  • Natalie Labayen- Director of Pride and Community Building Initiatives
    The Director of Pride and Community Building Initiatives continues the Student Association’s efforts toward generating school spirit on this campus and building a sense of community. This Director will work with the Spirit and Athletic programs as well as the Office of Community Service and Student Activities Center.
  • Sasha Belinkie- Director of Student Judicial Advisors
    The Director of the Student Judicial Advisors serves as the primary advisor during Judicial Matters to the Students at The George Washington University. The Director advocates for the judicial interests of the students at The George Washington University, and is also in charge of recruiting and training other students to serve as Judicial Advisors.
  • Jamie Bright- SA Appointment to the Marvin Center Governing Board
    The Student Association Representative to the Marvin Center Governing Board works on all issues pertaining to space and usage of the Marvin Center including storage, office, and meeting spaces.
