Welcome Class of 2014
Letter from the President...
Dear Class of 2014,
Let me be one of the first to welcome you to The George Washington University! My name is Jason Lifton and Im your Student Association president. I am a senior from Port Washington, NY studying Political Science and Business Administration. You are about to embark on an incredible four year journey where you will learn both in and out of the classroom. If I could give every one of you one piece of advice for how to succeed at GW, Id beg you to get involved. It doesnt matter if you get involved with Student Government, Theater, Athletics or Greek Life (or all of the above!), just find something that you love and do it. By getting involved you will find people share common interests allowing you to meet new people and make new friends.
Also, remember where you go to school, DC is one of the best places in the world to go to spend your college career. Take advantage of whats around you. You can visit museums, walk through the historic Adams Morgan neighborhood or explore the shopping in Georgetown. Dont be afraid to get lost in Washington, theres always something new to see. Last, Id encourage all of you to come visit our office on the 4th floor of the Marvin Center, we have all sorts of resources on how to get involved and learn about GW.
Wishing you all the best!
Jason Lifton
Student Association President 2010-2011
