Met with the wonderful Mr. Tapscott this morning at MSSC. Then was off to a planning meeting for Colonial Quest (part of the exciting Welcome Week festivities!). I have a meeting with GWorld on Friday, what isn’t on gworld that you’d like to see? Email me your reccomendations at Julie@gwstudentassociation.com!

Began the morning with a welcome week committee meeting. Looking into how the Student Association can get involved and support some of the great programming going on! Then I had a meeting with Vice President Chalupa to talk about research initiatives going on around campus in the coming year. For the last activity of the day I attended the Alumni Association Annual Board meeting. The Alumni Association really is a great group of people who work hard for this University. They are also helping out with the Freshmen Send-offs. Be sure to check them out here!

Ever wanted to take over an entire Target? Love the Yankees and can’t fathom the thought of watching all the games on TV? Want to mix and mingle with your class mates while enjoying free food?
Get excited for activities including a movie on U-Yard, a trip to Baltimore to see the O’s play the Yankees, RHA’s annual Target Take Over, the fall Student Org fair, and Fall Fest. Freshmen, hang out with your CI small group friends or meet one of the other 2400 members of your class. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors, say hi to friends and catch up after a long summer away from the District. Plus, who doesn’t love a free BBQ or ice cream social?!
For more information, visit the Welcome Week website.

Met with Tim Miller this morning to talk about changes to CI. Getting incredibly excited to meet the incoming freshmen! Then had a meeting in Student Academic Support Services to talk about campus space. Availability and cost are two of the biggest issues. Tell me about your experiences with campus space by emailing Julie@gwstudentassociation.com. Last meeting of the day was the Welcome Week planning committee. We’re getting ready for September already!
